Resources & FAQ

Answers that keep the process clear.

These general resources explain JBW’s service model and limits. They are not legal advice and do not replace consultation with a licensed attorney.

Frequently asked

Clear process, no assumptions.

Is JBW a law firm?

No. JBW is not a law firm and does not provide attorney representation, legal advice, or courtroom advocacy. No attorney-client relationship is created through JBW services.

Can JBW represent someone in federal court?

No. JBW does not appear in court as counsel or represent clients before a court, the BOP, or another agency.

What kinds of support may be available?

Possible services include federal research, document-preparation support, records organization/retrieval support, BOP administrative-support materials, reentry documentation, and custom research memoranda, subject to applicable law and a written scope.

Does JBW guarantee an outcome?

No. JBW makes no promise or guarantee regarding filings, decisions, sentence changes, releases, or any other outcome.

How do fees work?

JBW uses a review-first process: intake, scope review, written quote, service agreement, payment, document submission, and work. Fees are associated with the defined work product, not a public menu.

Can a family member pay?

A payor or authorized representative may be identified during intake, but payment by another person does not authorize disclosure of the service recipient’s information.

How should I send records?

Do not use ordinary email or this site to send a full file. After scope review and agreement, JBW provides document-submission instructions for the approved project.

Need a direct response about your request?

Use the contact or intake form. JBW will not publish unverified email addresses as public client-contact channels until a verified custom domain and mailbox are available.
